Turning Trials into Triumphs Through Beagles and Rhyme

Counting Beagles came to life during one of the hardest chapters of mine—I was battling breast cancer and trying to hold on to the things that brought me joy. With my mum cheering me on, I started writing as a way to cope and create something light and happy in contrast to what I was going through.

I’ve always adored books and teaching, and Counting Beagles is a fun, playful rhyming book that celebrates beagles doing all the silly, lovable things they do. It’s designed for little ones aged 0 to 10, bringing a smile with every page turn. From running and sniffing to snoozing and howling—it’s all there, wrapped up in rhythm and joy.

Sharing this journey with my mum, Angela, has been a silver lining I’ll never forget. We’ve both fulfilled our dreams at the same time, lifting each other along the way. Our stories may be different, but they’re now forever linked by love, resilience, and a shared belief in new beginnings.
