World Book Day School Visits

On World Book Day this year, I visited 2 local schools. My first World Book Day as an author! So exciting. My morning started at Paganel Primary School in Birmingham, where my good friend, Bethan, is the Headteacher. We had worked together previously at Ryders Green in West Bromwich and had remained friends, even though we had both moved to new schools. The children were great and enjoyed my book. I shared it with Reception, Year 1 and then the nursery children and parents. Bethan ordered all 3 of my books for her Reception and Year 1 classes. I signed them for them. It was a great visit! I had some lovely feedback from the children too.

Rec: “I liked it because I like dogs. I have a dog too.”

Yr1: “I enjoyed it because it was funny when the dog went in the water.”

Yr1: I enjoyed it because Bella is cute.”

Yr1: “It was fun counting up to 10.”

On the afternoon, I then visited another friend's school, Causeway Green in Oldbury. I had previously worked with Sarah at Queen Victoria, where we worked as a job share together.

I shared my book with nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. They enjoyed the book and I had great feedback again! Some of the children wanted a signed copy.
